The American Museum of Asmat Art at the University of St. Thomas will have a gallery when the Anderson Student Union is completed. Until then, visit displays in buildings on our St. Paul campus. Housed in a striking stainless steel building designed by architect Frank Gehry, the Weisman offers an educational and friendly experience. The museum’s collection features early twentieth century American artists such as Georgia O’Keefe and Mardsen Hartley, as well as a diverse selection of contemporary art.

The Hillstrom Museum of Art features exhibitions (and related public lectures) of contemporary and earlier artworks by artists of regional, national and international renown, including exhibits drawn from the museum’s permanent collection, which emphasizes early twentieth century, mostly figurative American art. There is no admission charge for the museum’s exhibitions and related programs, which are open to the public.
