Nolan Prohaska, Glass Artist
Richard Ward Reynolds, Painter

June 5 through June 30
First Friday Event: June 5, 5:00-9:00 p.m.

The impeccable work of these accomplished local artists is truly compatible and complementary. Both artists have the ability to capture nature and convey its unequaled beauty. Nolan's background as a horticulturist is obvious in both his blown and sculptural pieces. Richard's previous experiences on the east coast and in Australia give him perspective on natural, tranquil and raw beauty.

Frontier Preachers

June 6 through July 26
Opening Reception: Saturday, June 6, 7:00-11:00 p.m.

Curated by Jayme McLellan of Civilian Art Projects in Washington, D.C., Frontier Preachers developed out of a desire to investigate the idea of the frontier anew, long after the heyday of the Mississippi River as a central artery in the heart of America. By inviting 11 artists from the bottom of the Mississippi River to create work at its Northern spring, and by inviting a curator from the seat of US government, Frontier Preachers is an exhibition about a collective American story. Featured artists include Tim Best, Kyle Bravo, Aubrey Edwards and Alison Fensterstock, Courtney Egan, Stephen Collier, Sally Heller, Jenny LeBlanc, Srdjan Loncar, Cynthia Scott, David Sullivan and Dan Tague.
